The process is quite simple if you are using a Google Pixel device, all you need to do is head over to the Android 12 Beta website by clicking on the below link.

https://developer.android.com/about/versions/12/download

then you just need to enroll your device.

Now you can check for the process of installing the beta version of any non Google Smartphones mentioned above and just go to the manufacturer’s links available on the Android developers site.

On the website you will get instructions on how you can register yourself. Once the registration is completely done then Android 12 Beta 1 will be available for download on your smartphone, you can also check the status of the DOWNLOAD manually by going to SETTINGS>SYSTEM>SYSTEM UPDATE> CHECK FOR UPDATE.

Quick info

The Android 12 Beta update for the Pixel 4 is 1.79 GB in size. So, make sure you have enough space on your smartphone.

You need to note that the process of the installation seems to differ depending on the manufacturer of your smarphone. So follow the instruction page on Google’s list of eligible phones carefully.

ANDROID 12 NEW FEATURES

THEMES, COLOUR SCHEMES AND WALLPAPER

T

Android 12 brings a refreshing design to it’s UI through material you use which customizes the themes and colour schemes of the phone based on your custom wallpapers. The Android 12 Beta currently does not change colour schemes based on the wallpaper but you can manually customize it the way you like.

NOTIFICATION PANEL

With this Android 12 Beta update you are now getting bigger buttons and different animations with some customization in the notification panel and you also get other elements like slide in and slide out animations with fade effects.

LOCK SCREEN

The lockscreen gets a major change as well, when you have no notifications the clock occupies a majority of the screen which looks awesome. With pending notifications the size of the clock is reduced and you can see these notifications in it’s place. This was very fascinating experience for me.

PRIVACY FEATURES

Android 12 Beta update gives you new privacy features for the camera, mic and location. Whenever an app is using the camera or mic a green light will pop up as an indicator of the same if your phone has a physical LED light. Google will also let you know when location tracking is on and gives you quick shortcuts to turn it off. This is an amazing feature but it isn’t currently available in the first Beta available as of now. However there is no update on if this puts a lid on app tracking yet.

GOOGLE ASSISTANT

Long pressing the power button in Android 12 now gets you to the Google Assistant. This makes it convenient to summon the assistant at the touch of a button. Samsung has been doing this on it’s GALAXY smartphones till now.

ANDROID TV REMOTE

Google says that Android 12 will bring support for an inbuilt remote that will work with ANDROID TV SYSTEMS like Chrome Cast.

PHONES AS A VIRTUAL CAR KEY

Google said that it’s working on a feature where your phone will transform into a digital can key via NFC and UWD. Although this feature will be available on a selected Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones. Maybe so these devices are a bit expensive!

There’s a lot coming to Android 12 in the coming days and we assured you that we will keep you up to date with all the news of updates from ANDROID. All you have to do is stay tuned at https://masterofphones.in/
