Once up on a time we remember used to love playing a game which was world famous in those days. GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY, the first ever game of Rockstar developers which changed the impression of video games in the world with its amazing, incredible features. GTA VICE CITY was a craze for 90s kids.

Today in this blog am going to review GTA VICE CITY a 18 year old game. Though its 18 year old game it rocks till this date. If you peek into any youngsters phone you will definitely notice either of these games in their Smartphones. Not only youngsters, middle aged folks play these games as well. In early 2000s GTA VICE CITY was launched for Ps2 and then later it was launched for PC’s. GTA VICE CITY ULTIMATE REVIEW

Grand Theft Auto Vice City is a 2002 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was the fourth main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 2001’s Grand Theft Auto III which was also a awesome game. Set in 1986 within the fictional city named Vice City, based on Miami.

MAIN CHARACTER OF GTA VICE CITY

The name of the main character is Tommy Vercetti, a mobster rising to power after his release from prison and being caught up in an ambushed drug deal. While seeking out those responsible, he slowly builds an empire by seizing power from other criminal organisations in the city.

Tommy Vercetti’s voice is given by Ray Liotta, an American actor. Tommy is the only main character here in this game, the thing is that you can’t change your main character without using cheat codes as you do in other GTA games like GTA SAN ANDREAS, GTA V.

If we talk about his appearance of the character, by default he wears a cool blue designed shirt with a blue jeans and a pair of white shoes. This guy has a army cut hairstyle and he doesn’t have beard and mustache. In this game you can’t change his hair style or beard as you do in other GTA games.

As I said before by activating cheat codes you can change the appearance of your character and you can make your character smoke a weed, make the gameplay slow and fast. As i remember you can change the costumes of the character in the game settings as well, either you can make him wear a suit or a make him wear a burglers attire. Note that only two costumes are available inside the game.

You can even add some more costumes, change your main character to other characters kike Lance, Diaz and many more by installing some mods and while installing the mod make sure that the mod is genuine and trusted. If by mistake you download some unstable mod the game may crash and maybe you will have to reinstall the game.

GAMEPLAY OF GTA VICE CITY

Gameplay of GTA VICE CITY is incredible according to me because, none other 18 year old game is comparable to this masterpiece. We just literally can’t compare the games like Diable 2, The Sims etc which were launched in early 2000s with GTA VICE CITY. We just can’t compare then as i said because, the graphics, animations, smoothness of GTA VICE CITY are far better than these games.

GTA VICE CITY was like a banana in the hands of a monkey for 90’s kids because, this game was the only game which had the open world thing, people loved to play such games then and even now people love the same. But on the other hand we can’t just compare GTA VICE CITY to GTA V because it took more than 8 years for the developers of Rockstar games. Can you just imagine!

In the year 2003 of course GTA SAN ANDREAS was launched which was the successor of GTA VICE CITY. The gameplay was just super improved in GTA SAN ANDREAS.

MAP – CITY

Map is a very important aspect of open world games. Map of GTA VICE CITY was very small, there were hardly 10 main roads with huge buildings. The game had an airport with hardly 3 to 4 planes in it and ofcourse a harbour too. The main highlight of the game’s map was it had a huge beach which covered ¼ th part of the city, yes literally that was crazy.

In the initial part of the game half of the city is closed and you can’t surpass and get into the closed part of the city. But, you could do that using cheats like “come fly with me” which could make your cars fly. There was a huge gate which was the only way to get into the other part of the city but without completing missions you weren’t allowed to get in there.

The VICE CITY had very huge buildings, a shopping complex which wasn’t huge so i called ut a complex not a mall, but in the game it has been highlighted as a mall. You could get ammo from stores, the game city hardly had 2 ammo stores named ammonation. Yes ofcourse you can’t survive in the game without a gun. The special thing about the game was the beach as i said earlier, at the corner of the beach there was a light house where you could climb onto it. Beside the light house there was a bridge were people used to walk by.

OTHER CHARACTERS OF GTA VICE CITY

There were many other characters in the game, some were Tommy Vercetti’s enemies and some were his friends. At ladt Tommy’s best friend Lance betrayes him. Yup I revealed the twist of the game! you may be wondering, everybody knew this why this guy is telling all this in 2021…Some would have not played this game and this spoiler was for them! and I recommend everyone to try this game once. It’s pretty fun.

The other some of the important characters of the game were Lance Vance, the ultimate villan, Ken Rosenberg, the true friend of Tommy, Sonny Forelli, an old friend, Victor Vance, Mercedes Cortez, Tommy’s Girlfriend, Kent Paul and may others.

We just can’t miss to talk about thr VICE CITY Police, there were one of the main aspect of the game. They just were very loyal. I wonder sometimes why GTA games didn’t hace ladies as Police. But yeah it may come up in GTA VI. We hope for that.

TOUGHEST MISSION IN GTA VICE CITY

The toughest mission of GTA VICE CITY was “DEMOLITION MAN”. This mission was to place four bombs in four different floors of a building which is under construction. The mission actually sounds pretty easy but I’ll bet you can’t complete it in the first attempt, that is because the bombs must be placed within the given time limit and the time limit was of 7 minutes. This mission felt like it is nearly impossible to complete this. Most of us gave up but yeah some extremely obstinate people like me tried, tried and tried and finally completed it. Youp sorry for that self boasting, I often do that!

CONS OF GTA VICE CITY

The very first hitch in the game was that you can’t swim. This was later improved and fixed in GTA SAN ANDREAS. In GTA VICE CITY your character dies within seconds if you get into any water bodies.

Second hitch in the game was, you can shoot people if you are inside the car or while riding a bike. But, the problem is that you can’t use all guns to shoot. While driving or riding only Sniper Rifles is used. If you don’t have Sniper Rifles then you can’t shoot with other guns, though you have them.

The third problem in the game was that the sharks inside the sea were just for effects, they don’t kill people if they are put into water and the sharks can’t be killed using guns and stuff.
