XIAOMI Mi 11X

Unboxing & Overview with camera performance and benchmarks.

Hey guys welcome to BLOG-03.

Todays Smartphone which am going to review is Xiaomi Mi 11X, which was launched recently by Xiaomi. According to me this is sort of value flagship handset with lots and lots of features in it.

This phones comes in three colours as displayed in the following photos.

Now if we talk about the smartphone, it look pretty cool i specially prefer the black one, compared to white and light sky blue colour it look premium and classy. This smartphone has glossy back a shining back panel and lots of finger prints could be seen after you use the phone for sometime. So i recommend to use the smartphone with a back case which is given with the phone or you can buy a better case. The phone looks pretty huge and had a big screen of 6.67″. This phone has a triple camera setup about which I’ll be explaining briefly in the following part of the blog.

Now if we talk about the unboxing experience:

• The box looks pretty cool with Xiaomi branding logo on it and the main highlight on the box is about the 5G connectivity.
• On the box it says that the phone runs with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset.
• In the box uts highlighted that the phone has a Super AMOLED screen of 120 Hz refresh rate.
• On the box it is highlighted that this phone has a battery of 4520 mAh capacity.

• Inside the box in the first look after the box is open the phone is visible and looks elegant in the box.
• Apart form the handset there is a new thing which Xiaomi has provided inside the box that is a DONGLE, i think this is a nice thing Xiaomi has done. By the way i didn’t expect it.
• We get to see a sim ejector tool as usual 
• A transparent case is given inside the box, but the quality of the case is not that good as i expected. My personal advice is pay some extra money and buy a good quality case because, the case is essential here to use this phone or else the phone will be filled with finger prints at the back as it a glossy finish.
• Inside the box we get big brick that is the charger of 33 W, fast charger, i like it because they have given atleast a fast charger inside the box.
• You get a A to C type charging cable.

Thats all you get in the box guys.

Now if we talk directly about the overview of the Smartphone:

• Phone looks classy and it gives a premium look.

• As i said before this phone comes with 3 colours, but black one is my choice.
• The back of the phone has no matte finish but it has a glossy finish, which actually looks like a glass back.(if you use this phone without a back case you may get to see lots of finger prints at the back.
• It has a triple camera setup wuth 48 MP main camera + 8 MP (Ultrawide) + 5 MP (Macro)

• Front camera if a punch hole camera which is 20 MP.
• The handset is not too heavy and very well weight distribution is done.
• This smartphone has a screen of 6.67″ with FHD+ AMOLED (120Hz refresh rate)

• This phone comes with stereo speakers  ( one at the top and another at the bottom)

• On the top of the phone a IR blaster is present with a primary speaker.
• At the right side of the phone there is a volume rocker and a power on off button. A side mounted fingerprint scanner is present on the power button. According to me this is not a nice thing to have the fingerprint scanner at the side because nowadays people prefer indisplay fingerprint scanner.
• The the bottom of the phone there is a secondary speaker, main microphone, charging type – C port and a sim tray.
• Sim tray is not hybrid, one thing surprises me, I don’t know why they have not given a choice of Micro SD card if there is only one varient of storage in both the phones with 6GB and 8GB of ram.

My frank openion is that if there is no storage expansion using micro SD card they should have given 256 GB storage for the 8GB varient. But unfortunately we don’t have it.

•At the left side of the handset there’s nothing it’s just plain surface 

•This ohone has LIQUID COOLING TECHNOLOGY.

•The fingerprint scanner is side mounted and you need to press it to get unlocked but you can set it to touch in the settings. The fingerprint scanner is very responsive and no complaints about it.

• The weight of this MI 11X is 196g, which is relatively less than 200 g. Very good balanced weight distribution is done.

Now if we look into the phone:

• It has a display if 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED(120Hz refresh rate)
• It has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 (7 nm, Octacore) chipset.

• This phone is with 2 varients of RAM 6GB/8GB. But both varient has only one storage capacity (UFS 3.1) that is 128 GB.
• this phone supports two 5G bands(OnePlus 9R supports only one 5G band)

• Dual nano sim slots have been provided.
• It has a 4520 mAh batty with 33 W fast charging support.
• Mi 11 X come with a typical MIUI.
• This time no lots of junkware is present in the phone. But, MI apps are pre-installed ( MI CREDIT, MI PAY) unfortunately you cannot uninstall these.
• Useful apps such as NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME, FACEBOOK are pre-installed which is a good thing, but if you don’t need those you can easily uninstall them.
• The big issue is with this GETSAPP wuth is very annoying and we can’t uninstall it but you can off its notification by going to its settings.
• As it runs on MIUI it has some options of home screen customisation, it has the options like MI THEMES, USER EXPERIENCE and the stuff called CLEANER. My advice is please disable these things to get unwanted notification and stuff.
• By default the refresh rate will be set to 60 Hz, you can set it to 120 Hz easily by going to the display settings. with 60 Hz some rough swipes could be observed but 120 Hz works very well, it gives a fluid feel.
• Some gamers complain that this phone has a heating issue while gaming.

If you go to the about phone settings

• You get the update of about 1GB. After this update the phone will be having Android 11 (12.04)

• About 21GB is used by the phone from 128GB

• Ram management is very good in this Smartphone.

BENCHMARK TEST RESULT:

This following tests are performed through AnTutu. (GEEK BENCH IS CRASHING IN XIAOMI MI 11X , MAY BE BECAUSE XIAOMI IS DOING SOME TRICKRY BY ARTIFICIALLY CRASHING IT)

THIS TEST IS PERFORMED BY COMPARING 

ONEPLUS 9 R and IQOO 7 WITH XIAOMI MI 11X.

When the test is performed these phones were heated a bit

• Oneplus 9R – 5.5°C (INCREASED)
• MI 11X – 4.5°C (INCREASED)
• IQOO 7 – 3.3°C (INCREASED)

For further information about benchmark tests look at the imagine below.

CAMERA: 

• Xiaomi Mi 11X has a triple camera interface (Main Rear camera – 48MP + 8 MP ( ULTRAWIDE) + 5 MP (MACRO)
• Front camera is 20 MP ( Punch hole camera at the top middle)
• wide angle shots are pretty impressive because, compared to other smartphones this phones wide angle shot is pretty wide.
• Digital zoom is very good
• Portrait shots look impressive
• Front camera selfie shots look very wide compared to the OnePlus 9R.
