Finally the rumours are going to be true now. The Jio Phone is launching in India soon with a very low price. This phone has been made to make India digital. After this phone is launched most of the people who can’t afford smartphones which are priced high.
Reliance Jio and the supreme of android Google have finally announced publicly that the Jio Phone Next is coming to the market over three months after its initial announcement which was made in the month of june, if I am not wrong.
PROCESSOR AND PRICING
The most affordable device which boots Pragati OS – an optimized version of Android will start as low as INR 1,999 which is approximately $27 with monthly installment plans for 18 and 24 months ranging from INR 300 that us $4 to INR 600 – $8 per month and a INR 501 – $6.70 as the processing fee. These installment plans also include Jio call and data services and stuff. Retail pricing for the JioPhone Next without installments will be INR 6,499 that is approximately $87. So cheap isn’t it? First sales may start from November 4 via JioMart online and retail partners in the local market.
WHY JIO PHONE NEXT?
The main key selling point of this smartphone is that it’s software which is said to be specially designed to the users in India (common people) with system wide translation which makes people understand every feature and stuff of the smartphone in their languages which they prefer. Voice typing and read aloud features supported for 10 local Indian languages all at the press of a button.
These stuff will definitely help people who don’t know the English language. It’s believed that Google will continue to support the phone by adding new features by providing software updates similar to its Pixel feature drops. Try to understand it will not be like that of Pixel, you can’t literally compare Pixel phones with this. It makes no sense.
KEY SPECIFICATIONS OF JIO PHONE NEXT
The specs are not awesome but these specs are good at this price point.
- It has a 5.45-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, this smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor which makes the user experience smooth and with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage this phone gives you a decent performance in daily usage and it performs good in gaming as well.
- If we look into the camera setup, the camera is decent and you can click some good photos with the cameras of this smartphone. There’s an 8MP front facing camera and a 13MP rear camera which is good at this price point. Thia smartphone has a battery capacity of 3,500 mAh which will last for a day on normal usage and charging happens with microUSB.
