Unboxing and Overview with first impressions and some Camera samples.

Today am going to explain in brief about the newly launched smartphone POCO X3 PRO. This is a very good smartphone according to me because, in this price range this phone is having very good specifications. Mainly POCO is targeting this smartphone towards the power users and gamers mainly. The main highlight of this phone is that this is having that powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset, which is actually a Snapdragon 855+ chipset.(No much difference in these chipsets)

Unboxing experience of POCO X3 PRO:

The box of this POCO X3 PRO looks pretty good and there is POCO branding on it which looks pretty impressive in the first look.

Backside of the box has the information about the important specifications of the Smartphone.
Now if we break the seal and open the box we get to see a pretty nice POCO branding and it is mentioned that its a #1 smartphone.
We get a transparent case in the box which is actually grey in colour. My advice is that invest some extra money and buy a better case bey, the case inside the box is not of a very good quality.
If we look at the smartphone inside the box it is wrapped with a protective cover on which there is a POCO logo which looks good.
Other than the phone we get a C type charging cable which is white in colour.
We get a charger inside the box, its a 33W fast charger which is white in colour.

CHARGER OF POCO X3 PRO:

The first thing is that the phone chargers very fast with this charger.
The special thing about this charger is that it supports power delivery.(about power delivery in brief in next paragraph)
This cahrger charges the handset in abou 25.5 minutes as per the tests performed by the experts.

POWER DELIVERY:

Power Delivery (PD) is a specification for handling higher power and allows a range of devices to charge quickly over a USB connection. … Using a standard USB-C cable, it can handle up to 60W, and will go up to 100W using a designated EMCA cable.

As per the tests this POCO X3 PRO charger can charge a modern laptop very quickly as their original chargers do and the laptop chargers which supports this POWER DELIVERY can charge POCO X3 PRO very quickly as the original charger of this phone do.

The thing is that this POWER DELIVERY feature make our lives easy, we can carry only one charger which can charge both phone and the laptop.

PHYSICAL OVERVIEW OF POCO X3 PRO:

This phones back is made up to plastic, which is not a very good thing. The back has a different rare pattern with rough and smooth design. In the middle of the handset below the camera there is very huge POCO branding. I personally don’t like this because it affects the premium lokk of the smartphone. This POCO logo is quite decent i would say compared to that REAL ME smartphones which have their branding in the back of their phones with this DARE TO LEAP quote which i think is very noxious.

The phone comes with following colours.

This phones screen is 6.67″, not AMOLED screen but a normal IPS LCD display of 120Hz refresh rate, the screen quality is pretty good.

POCO X3 PRO has a quad camera set up (48+8+2+2) which is a circle shaped setup about which I’ll be explaining later in the blog in brief.
The front glass of the phone is a GORILLA GLASS 6, which is a pretty impressive thing because, most of the expensive smarphones are provided with this gorilla glass. Getting a GORILLA GLASS screen in a mid range phone is a very good move by POCO.

At the top of the phone there is a IR blaster, which is a nice thing. Frankly i did not expect this IR blaster in this handset. But it is very good to have it.
With the IR blaster there is a noise cancellation microphone.
In the right side of the phone there is a volume rocker and a power on off button, in which there is a fingerprint scanner which is embedded.(side mounted fingerprint scanner)
This setting of fingerprint scanner is set to press in the settings initially but you can change it to touch. If it is set to press you should press the power button to unlock your phone but if you set it to touch on touch the phone gets unlocked.

Actually i like this fingerprint scanner of POCO devices because they are pretty fast and very responsive.

At the bottom of the Smartphone there is a speaker grill ( this device has sereo speakers)

Beside the speaker there is a charging port.
There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack which supports high resolution audio, which is a nice thing.
In the left side of the phone there is a sim tray which is a hybrid sim tray ( dual nano sim) it supports a MICRO SD card of about 1TB.

IF WE LOOK INSIDE THE HANDSET

This Smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 (which is actually 855+)

GPU is ADRENO 640.
The charging speed of the phone is very good and it takes less than half and hour to change fully.
POCO X3 PRO is running on MIUI, but with POCO launcher.
Lots of Junkware could be seen in this phone since it ru s on MIUI.
The UI is very smooth and fluid feel can be felt.
There is the refresh rate of 120Hz, which is the reason fluid feel can be enhanced.
This phones comes in two varients, 6GB RAM with 128 INTERNAL STORAGE (UFS 3.1) & 8GB RAM with 128 INTERNAL STORAGE (UFS 3.1)

It has a dual nano sim slot at its left side with a hybrid slot where you can add a micro sd card of storage upto 1 TB.
This phone has a 5160 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

POCO X3 PRO runs on the latest Android version that is Android 11.
The refresh rate will be initially set to 60Hz but default but you can set it to 120Hz easily. I recommend to use the phone with 120 Hz which enhances the smoothness of the Phone.
Another this I’ve noticed is that in POCO X3 PRO if we swipe left from the home screen you will get to see lots of unwanted widgets, apps, boosters etc. I hope POCO will fix it in their following updates.
UI is pretty smooth and no lags could be noticed while gaming in this Smartphone. And no heating issues while gaming (tested with COD gaming performance)

The network speed is pretty good in this phone. When tested with 5 giga Hz wifi band on 300 mega bit wifi we could see the speed of about 285 to 290 in JIO fi.

ABOUT THE DEVICE SETTING:

The phone is running on MIUI 12.0.4, but still running on Android 11. I hope they’ll push out Android 12 updated quickly on this device.
If we talk about the storage initially 19GB is used from 128GB.
Adreno 640 GPU
Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 Processoris present in this POCO X3 PRO.

BENCHMARK SCORE OF POCO X3 PRO

Tested in AnTuTu

Benchmark score is 493000. Which is awesome.

This is very good and a powerful Phone to buy with the budget of 20000/- because in this Smartphone you get 800+ processor, if you see no other brands offer this processor at the price range of 20000/- but they offer this process in the phones with the price range starting from 40000/- which are said to be flagship phones. So POCO is the best option.

No complaints about bthe Performance lf the phone because it does work very good for normal usage as well as for gaming.

8GB + 128GB = 21000/-

We don’t have any other smartphones with 800 series processor at this price range.

CAMERA OF POCO X3 PRO:

This phone has a quad camera with circle shaped setup.
The main camera is 48MP + 8MP for Ultrawide and 2 + 2MP for Macro shots and depth.
The front camera is 20MP punch hole camera.
